It's just about cherry season! Cherries are my favorite fruit and cherry pie is definitely one of my favorite pies! Cherries are not fun to pit, but a cherry pie from scratch is just SO tasty. Now go pick some cherries and make this pie!
- 4 cups cherries (pitted)
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 pie crusts (1 crust, 1 lattice top)
- 1 egg
- Mix everything together.
- Pour into a pie crust. (Check out my blog post for a great pie crust recipe).
- Put a lattice top on the top. Weave each piece under/over for a perfect lattice.
- Don't forget to do an egg wash.
- Bake 50 min at 375.
